**Due to the recent issues involving vaping and respiratory issues in the United States we want to assure you that the oils used in Social Vape Tops and Pens do NOT contain Vitamin E. There are no cutting agents or artificial additives added to our oils. The only thing added back after the extraction process are terpenes from the natural plant.
A little about Social
Social Vape Pens offer cannabis honey oil in a variety of strains, in 0.5ml and 1ml cartridges. The oil has no Vegetable Glycerin (VG), no Propylene Glycol (PG or PPG), nor cutting agents, providing the best cannabis vaping experience possible!
What makes Social pens superior from others on the market?
The oil is what really sets them apart.
Honey oil is cleaner than other oil types and Social's is extracted using an alcohol solvent. Other extraction methods can leave a residue of harmful Propane or Butane. Honey oil maintains the cannabinoids and terpenes from the plant at the extraction process.
CO2 extraction is a process that uses pressurized carbon dioxide to pull the desired phytochemicals from a plant. In the world of cannabis, the process pulls all of the essential cannabinoids, terpene oils and waxes out of the plant material. At certain temperatures and pressures, CO2 acts as a solvent. However, CO2 doesn't have the same dangers associated with solvents. Additionally, so many manufacturers are using CO2 as a way to create a pure, clean, quality oil which involves little to no post-processing. This greatly differs CO2 from so many other toxic solvent products.
Social vape pens use CCELL TH2 cartridges which boasts as having one of the lowest fail rates with their hardware.
The TH2 uses a ceramic heating element and glass housing, so you get the most flavour out of your favourite oil. The cartridges use a ceramic mouthpiece which ensures a cooler and cleaner hit. Social uses a CCELL’s M3 battery, with a 510 thread and a 350mAh capacity with a supplied USB adapter. The cartridges are recommended to be used with the supplied batteries. If you have your own battery with a 510 thread, we recommend starting at the lowest battery amp and work up to find the ideal temperature.
Ingredients to look for & avoid.
When vaporized, cannabis oils are commonly mixed with thinning agents for better vaporizing performance. However, when some thinning agents are heated, potentially harmful carbonyl compounds can be produced. Carbonyls are a group of carcinogenic chemicals that includes formaldehyde, which has been linked to birth defects and miscarriage.
A 2017 study conducted at the Medical Marijuana Research Institute in Arizona, looked at the byproducts of vaporizing cannabis oil. These popular cannabis thinning agents were studied:
-Propylene glycol (PG or PPG)
-Vegetable glycerin (VG)
-Polyethylene glycol (PEG) 400
-Medium chain triglycerides
These thinning agents were heated to 230°C (450°F), and scientists tested the resulting vapors to detect the presence of harmful compounds like formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, and acrolein.
Researchers concluded that individuals who vaporize cannabis oil utilizing these thinning agents may risk harmful exposures to the byproducts.
Social Vape Pens have none of the above additives or harmful chemicals
